• Welcome to Bhagavati Aerobriks
The modern, environmentally responsible alternative to constructions based on bricks, concrete or stone blocks is Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC), which is an economical, sustainable, solid block that is very easily manageable and modifiable while providing thermal and acoustic insulation as well as fire and termite resistance. Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) consists of 80% air by volume, making it the lightest available walling Material (weighs ¼ that of clay bricks). Formed as a result of reaction of Aluminum on a proportionate blend of Lime, Cement & FlyAsh, the hydrogen gas that escape creates millions of tiny air cells already giving it a strong honeycomb like structure. It is further strengthened by High pressure steam curing in Autoclaves.

Preferred for their light weight and cost effective long term usage, they are an integral part of MEGA’s building system. Weighing significantly lesser than the weight of normal walling materials, MEGA provides significant benefits where weight is a concern in building design. It results in deadweight reduction of the building and hence the reduction in structural costs. With the ability to produce sections of AAC in different dimensions for blocks, panels, lintels, slabs and reinforced structural components with different characteristics, MEGA leads this industry across the region with an ultra modern manufacturing presence in Andhra Pradesh.

MEGA Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) takes pride in the highly automated manufacturing process which incorporates the technological innovations capable of delivering unmatched consistency in its product quality no matter the dimensions of the block. Along with many unique features, MEGA AAC products are quite simply, a generation ahead of others.

  • BENEFITS BRIEF
    • Combining insulation properties with structural integrity for walls, floors, and roofs.
    • Available in a variety of forms and sizes.
    • Recyclable material.
    • Chases for electrical conduit and plumbing runs can be cut easily.
    • Design Versatility, Flexibility & light weight - Design and construction flexibility, allowing field changes if necessary.
    • Durable: AAC is resistant to water, mold, mildew, rot and insects.
    • Dimensional stability: AAC units are precisely shaped, conforming to tight tolerances.
    • Fire resistant: 8-inch AAC elements are granted a four-hour rating, but actual performance usually exceeds that number. AAC is noncombustible, so it will not burn and produce toxic gases.
    • R-values of AAC walls are comparable with conventional frame walls, due to their low weight. However, they offer higher thermal mass, airtightness and acoustic insulation.
    • High compression strength: Aerated concrete is a solid product and therefore extremely resilient. The entire surface is included in the calculation of structural analysis
    • Aerated concrete has an extremely low thermal conductivity, resulting in a high degree of thermal efficiency
  • Cost Analysis when compared to Bricks
Cost Component Saving in Component Estimated Impact on Project Cost Description

MEGA BLOCK Properties

Low Environmental Footprint

MEGA Block autoclaved aerated concrete products have favorable characteristics for the environment. Low resource, low production impact, low

Fire Resistant

AAC is classified as a non-combustible building material. It is both resistant to fire up to 1200°C and, unlike other construction materials, heat-resistant. Tests have shown that an AAC fire wall just 150 mm thick can resist at least for six hours.

High Thermal Insulation

MEGA inherently provides significantly superior thermal insulation as compared to conventional masonry by way of its material, structure, & methodology of use. A bare 9 inch MEGA wall provides the same thermal insulation value as a 106 inch wall made of cement blocks.

Acoustic Properties

MEGA Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Blocks with their high surface mass coupled with the mechanical vibration energy damping have an STC of up to 45dB, ~7dB higher acoustic insulation value compared to other solid building materials of the same weight.

High Strength

MEGA Autoclaved aerated concrete block’s solidity comes from the calcium silicate that encloses millions of air pores and from the process of curing in a pressurised steam chamber, giving AAC an unmatchable strength to weight ratio, higher than M 150 concrete.

Earthquake Resistant

MEGA blocks gain a high level of strength during the manufacturing process, giving durability to the finished structure. Thus, structures made with MEGA AAC blocks are capable of handling higher seismic loads, compared to structures with conventional bricks.

Lower Construction Cost

As a result of the basic nature of raw material and its properties, there is tangible and intangible reduction in cost by the use of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC). The savings stem from lowered transport, supplementary, labour, energy, and faster construction.

Health & Safety

Manufactured from freely available natural raw materials, AAC does not contain any toxic substances such as chemicals or volatile compounds that could be harmful. The manufacturing process emits no pollutants and creates no by-products or toxic waste products.

Pest Resistant

With solid wall construction and finishes, there are fewer, if any, cavities for insects and rodents to dwell in. Termites and ants do not eat or nest in AAC. Being made up of inorganic minerals, it does not promote growth of molds
